“Boss, how much space should I leave for the curtain box?”
Actually, before building the curtain box, just answer these 3 simple questionsand you’ll already have a good idea of how much space you need. 👇
① What curtain style do you want?
👉 Korean Pleat?
👉 S Fold / Wave Fold?
✅ Korean Pleat — more space-saving
✅ S Fold — larger waves, needs more depth
✅ S Fold — gives a more elegant, hotel-style look
② Do you want one layer or two layers?
👉 One layer curtain
👉 Curtain + sheer
One layer is simpler and more economical.
With two layers, you can:
☀️ Close the sheer during the day
🌙 Close the blackout curtain at night
Better privacy + better light control.
③ Do you want motorized curtains?
For one layer:
👉 Manual
👉 Motorized
For two layers:
👉 One motorized + one manual
👉 Both motorized
⚡️ Motorized tracks need more space because you need to allow room for the motor and track system.
So the curtain box usually needs to be deeper.

📌 Easy way to remember:
✅ Korean Pleat = less space
✅ S Fold = more space for the waves
✅ Motorized track = extra space for the motor
✅ Two layers = deeper curtain box
If the curtain box is too small, you may end up with:
❌ Curtain rubbing or getting stuck
❌ Poor-looking folds
❌ S Fold waves getting compressed
❌ Not enough space for the motorized track
❌ No room to add a sheer curtain later
And of course, the final measurement also depends on:
✔️ Distance between wall and glass
✔️ Air-conditioning concealed trunking
✔️ Lighting design
✔️ Fabric thickness
✔️ Motor model
✔️ Whether Memory Fold / High Temperature Setting is used
So I always tell my customers:
**Curtains can be installed later.
But a curtain box is not so easy to enlarge later!** 😅

老板，窗帘盒到底要留多少？
其实，在做窗帘盒之前，先回答这三个问题，就知道要留多少位置了。👇

第一个问题：
您要做什么款式？
👉 韩折？
👉 S Fold？
✅ 韩折比较省空间
✅ S Fold 波浪比较大，需要更多空间
✅ S Fold 的酒店感会比较强

第二个问题：
您要做一层还是两层？
👉 一层布
👉 一层布＋一层纱
一层窗帘比较简单、经济。
两层窗帘白天可以拉纱，
晚上再拉布，
隐私和遮光效果都会更好。

第三个问题：
要做电动吗？
如果是一层：
👉 手拉
👉 电动
如果是两层：
👉 一层电动＋一层手拉
👉 两层都电动
电动轨道会占用更多空间，
因此窗帘盒也必须预留更大尺寸。

窗帘盒尺寸基本就出来了。
装修前先决定：
① 做什么款式？
② 做几层？
③ 要不要电动？
这样木工、石膏天花和窗帘师傅才能一次做到位。😊

📌 简单记：
✅ 韩折比较省空间
✅ S Fold 需要更大的波浪空间
✅ 电动轨需要预留电机位置
✅ 两层窗帘需要更深的窗帘盒
如果窗帘盒留太小，很容易出现：
❌ 窗帘卡住
❌ 布浪不漂亮
❌ S Fold 被压扁
❌ 电动轨无法安装
❌ 以后想加纱没位置
当然，最终尺寸还需要考虑：
✔️ 墙壁和玻璃之间的距离
✔️ 是否有冷气暗槽
✔️ 是否有灯槽设计
✔️ 布料厚度
✔️ 电机型号
✔️ 是否做高温定型
所以我常常跟顾客说：
窗帘可以后做，窗帘盒不能后补。
装修前先问窗帘师傅，
永远比装修后才发现位置不够来得更省钱。😊
