Actually, the main entrance has 3 glass panels.

We can definitely make one large blackout roller blind, provided the size and installation conditions allow it.

But what if the blind is too big to fit into the lift?

Then we may need to split it into two blinds.

📌 If we split it into two, what’s the best way?

✅ Equal Split — One blind on the left and one on the right, with a gap in the middle.

✅ One Big, One Small — Or one small, one big! We arrange the sizes according to the position of the aluminium frames.

Why?

Because if we position the joint between the two blinds right in the middle of the aluminium frame, the frame can help conceal the gap and reduce light leakage.

其实，厅大门有 3 片玻璃窗， 如果做成一整幅遮光卷帘，当然可以。

但如果尺寸太大，电梯又放不进去， 我们就需要考虑分成两幅来做。

📌 分成两幅，有什么讲究？

✅ 对中分：左右各一幅，中间会有一道缝。

✅ 一大一小 / 一小一大：根据现场铝框的位置来安排，让两幅卷帘的接缝刚好落在中间的铝框上。

这样做有什么好处？

✨ 中间的接缝有铝框遮挡，漏光问题就能减少。

✨ 整体看起来更整齐，视觉效果也更协调。

✨ 不只是考虑美观，还要考虑实际安装、运输和日后的使用。

Sometimes, making just TWO bamboo blinds can be a real test of craftsmanship! 🤣

When working with interior designers, you need to pay attention to every little detail because they have their own vision and specific requirements.

For this project, everything has to be just right! 👇

📝 The lettering ✅ Exact font size ✅ Specific font style ✅ Precise spacing between letters

🎨 The paint ✅ A specified paint brand ✅ Computer-matched colours — no guessing!

But wait… the above requirements are still the easy part!

Here comes the most challenging request:

🤣 “Boss, when applying the paint, it doesn’t have to be perfectly even. We want it to look a little worn, with some peeling-paint effects!”

WHAT?! 😆

Usually, we try our best to make every finish smooth, neat and consistent.

Now, we have to do the opposite — create an intentionally uneven, weathered look that still looks just right!

Because sometimes, true craftsmanship isn’t about making everything perfect. It’s about making imperfection look perfect! 👏

一般顾客做竹帘，可能只要求尺寸对、颜色美、安装好就可以了。

但是跟室内设计师合作？ 那就完全是另外一个 level！😂

这次要做的只是 两幅竹帘，要求却一点都不简单！👇

📌 广告字要写得清清楚楚！ ✅ 字体大小要准确 ✅ 使用什么字体，要指定 ✅ 每个字之间的距离，也要交代清楚

🎨 油漆也有讲究！ ✅ 指定油漆品牌 ✅ 必须电脑配色，不能随便调个颜色就算了

⚙️ 零件也不能马虎！ 指定使用 Self-Locking Pulley（自锁式滑轮拉绳），既然设计师有自己的要求，我们就尽量配合！

⏰ 最重要的是：还要快！ 😂

不过，以上这些都还算小事……

真正考验功夫的要求来了！👇

🤣 「老板，上色的时候，不用那么均匀，可以有一点掉漆、旧旧的感觉！」

吓！😆

平时做工，我们追求的是均匀、整齐、漂漂亮亮。

现在却反过来，要做出一种不太均匀、仿佛有岁月痕迹的效果！

你说，这是不是考验真功夫的时候？

因为真正的难度，不是把东西做得完美无瑕，而是要把设计师想要的“不完美”，做得恰到好处！ 👏

当然，设计图纸是一回事，真正做出来的效果又是另一回事。

Measuring Zip Blinds Is More Complicated Than You Think! 🛠️📏

Many people think installing Zip Blinds is simple:

Measure the width and height, place the order, and install. Easy, right? 😅

Not quite! A professional installation requires much more than just taking measurements.

In Malaysia, uneven walls, sloping pergola beams and irregular floor levels can turn a simple installation into a real challenge!

🔧 Common Problems When Measuring & Installing Zip Blinds

1️⃣ Laser Level Is a Must! 🔴

A laser level helps us check: ✅ Top beam level ✅ Side channel vertical alignment ✅ Whether both sides are on the same plane

Never rely on your eyes alone!

2️⃣ Uneven Walls 🧱

Some walls are not straight, and the width can vary from top to bottom. In some cases, the difference can reach 2 inches!

That is why we measure at multiple points instead of relying on just one measurement.

3️⃣ Uneven Pergola Roof 📐

A completed pergola does not necessarily mean the beams are level. Incorrect alignment can affect the blind’s operation and appearance.

4️⃣ ACP Board May Be Needed 🛠️

If the top beam is uneven, an ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel) may be considered to create a neater installation finish or help establish a suitable mounting surface.

The supporting structure and fixing points must always be checked first.

5️⃣ Side Channels Must Be Properly Aligned

Misaligned or non-parallel side channels can cause:

• Uneven fabric movement
• Zipper disengagement or excessive wear
• An uneven bottom bar
• Additional strain on the motor

6️⃣ Uneven Floor Levels

Sloping tiles and uneven floors can leave gaps beneath the bottom bar. We need to consider drainage, bottom clearance and the desired finishing.

7️⃣ Insufficient Installation Space

We must check the space for the top housing, roller tube, side channels, motor, wiring and future maintenance access.

8️⃣ Wind & Rain Exposure 🌧️

Outdoor installations require careful assessment of wind exposure, fixing strength, rainwater entry and the product’s specified wind resistance.

9️⃣ Accurate Measurements & Final Testing

Before ordering, we record all critical dimensions, check the mounting structure and confirm the final specifications with the manufacturer.

After installation, we test the full operation, zipper engagement, travel limits and remote control.

📏 测量 Zip Blinds，可是大学问！🛠️🤣

很多人以为，安装 Zip Blinds（拉链式户外卷帘）很简单：

量好宽度、高度，订做回来，安装上去就可以了！

老板，我跟你讲……真正的挑战，往往不是窗帘，而是现场！ 😂

尤其在马来西亚做工程，墙壁不平、凉棚不水平、地砖有斜度，这些问题随时都会遇到！

🛠️ 测量和安装 Zip Blinds，会遇到什么问题？

🔴 1. 红外线激光水平仪，绝对不能少！

不能只靠卷尺和肉眼！

✅ 检查顶部是否水平 ✅ 检查左右两边是否垂直 ✅ 检查两侧是否在同一个平面

有时候，肉眼看起来很直，激光一打下去，才发现问题！🤣

🧱 2. 马来西亚的墙壁，有时候真的不平！

装修商起墙不够准确，左右可能出现明显偏差，有些位置上下相差甚至达到 2 寸！

如果只量一个尺寸就直接订做，安装时才发现宽度不一样，到时怎么办？

📐 3. 凉棚装好了，不代表顶部一定水平！

如果凉棚的梁位一边高、一边低，就可能影响 Zip Blinds 的安装位置和运行。

所以，必须先检查，不能直接迁就！

🛠️ 4. 顶部不平，可能需要加 ACP 板！

有些现场条件不理想，就必须研究如何修正安装基准，必要时考虑加 ACP 铝塑板，让整体收口更整齐。

当然，固定结构和承重位置也必须先检查，不能随便安装！

↔️ 5. 左右导轨必须对齐！

如果导轨不垂直、不平行，可能造成：

❌ 帘布运行不顺 ❌ 拉链脱轨或磨损 ❌ 底杆一边高、一边低 ❌ 电机负荷增加

Zip Blinds 跟普通卷帘不一样，两侧拉链必须与导轨正确配合！

🧱 6. 地砖不平，底杆无法均匀贴地！

有些地面有斜度，有些还要配合排水。

必须考虑底部缝隙、雨水流向及收口方式，不是装上去就算了！

🔌 7. 安装空间不足！

上罩、电机、导轨、电源线、螺丝固定位置，每一样都要检查。

尺寸量对了，不代表一定装得进去！😂

🌧️ 8. 户外风力和雨水问题！

凉棚的位置、迎风面、固定基层及产品抗风规格，都需要考虑。

Zip Blinds 可以遮阳、改善挡风效果，但不是每一种型号都适合所有户外环境。

📏 9. 尺寸不能只量一次！

顶部、中部、底部的宽度，左边、中间、右边的高度，都应该检查并记录。

最终订做尺寸，还要根据产品结构、安装方式和厂家要求确认。

✅ 10. 安装完毕，还要逐项测试！

检查升降是否顺畅、拉链是否正常啮合、帘布有没有偏斜，以及电机、遥控和上下限位是否正常。

真正专业的安装，不只是装得上，还要用得顺！
